What is Junior Varsity?

Junior Varsity (JV) is a program designed for applicants who were not accepted into the house and/or who are wanting to live in the house in the near future. This gives future applicants a chance to understand what Varsity House is about. Although, acceptance into the JV program does not guarantee acceptance into the house. JV members are still required to apply for residency.

What is the purpose of the JV Program?

The JV Program is created to help First Year Students (FYS) who were not able to get out of the dorms. We put the program together to give students a Christian environment despite being stuck in the dorms. Our primary focus is on FYS but we also allow other students to apply (alumni may not apply to the program).

What are the benefits?

Students who are accepted into the JV Program are given the opportunity to attend Monday night house meetings, have an exclusive Thursday night dinner for JV members, attend house retreats, join our Varsity Intramural Sport teams, and receive discounts for both house retreats and Intramural Sports. Additionally, Junior Varsity members are acquainted with Varsity members which allows for an easier application process.

What are the limits of the JV Program?

The limit for the total number of JV applicants is twelve. Applicants who are accepted into the program are limited to three terms, not including summer term. Also, applicants must be at least a freshman in college.

What is the cost?

Along with all of the benefits of our Junior Varsity program, there is a $150 per term cost.
